POSTING IMAGES
Recently, we have run into a problem in which our website's server is at max capacity storage space. This is partly due to all the images posted on the forum. Typically, a JGP picture is not large in file size at all, however...some people in which do not know how to compress nor re-size pics, post them here and it adds up. Many have been around 1.5 M, which is huge (and unnecessary) for a web-compressed JPG.
In efforts of not cramming up our website's storage.... We requested that you do the following (that'll also be easier for you):
* Create an account with www.photobucket.com
This is a free image hosting website. What's cool about this site is that they make it real easy for beginners in that they provide you the option of copying the image path specifically for forums.
What does that mean?
Typically, one would have to write or click through a bit of code, using [img] tags. Then, again clicking through to upload the file to our server, then copying the path, then inserting it within these tags.....whew. Exhausting.
By using Photobucket, all you have to do click on the 'IMG code' provided and it'll automatically copy...then simply paste the code into your forum post / reply.
Done.
Another advantage of using Photobucket is that you will be allowed to create different 'Albums' in which to organize and keep track of your pics. Not only for this forum...but otherwise.
Remember, the goal here is to NOT cram up the MAOT server. By doing this...not only will you assist in preventing this, but it is ultimately for your better good. Easier to post, organize and keep track of your photos. _________________
